Local Manx Sites Research:

Peel Castle and the Moddey Dhoo:

Peel Castle was built on St. Patrick's Isle in Peel, Isle of Man. It was originally a place of worship before becoming the fort of Magmus Barefoot, 11th Century Viking King of Man. St. Patrick's Church and the Round Tower were built on this isle in the 10th and 11th Centuries and the underground Crypt was built under the 13th Century St. German's Cathedral. Then main legend of this isle is of The Moddey Dhoo, or The Black Dog in Manx Gaelic.
